Obtain Probate – What you need to do to ?
Regardless of the size of the Estate of the deceased, it is in the Executor’s best interests to obtain Probate. This is because a Grant of Probate gives the Executor authority from the Court to deal with the deceased’s assets and protects them in the event that they distribute these assets to the beneficiaries incorrectly.
If the Estate is small the Court does not charge a fee for making the Probate application which is one more reason to obtain Probate.
